Forty-two fashion designers are participating in
UNICEF’s designer dolls initiative known as Les Frimousses (or little faces, in
English), now in its 11th edition. It's not the first time for fashion houses
like Chanel, Dior and Lanvin to partecipate reports WWD.
The dolls are to be on show at the Petit Palais from Nov. 26 to
Dec. 1 and then go under the hammer during an auction on Dec. 2 at the Four
Seasons Hotel Georges V.
Last year, the reserve price for each little toy was 500 euros,
or $647 at current exchange. UNICEF is to distribute funds raised from the sale
to help vaccinate children in Sudan’s Darfur region.
