Zaha Hadid threw a party at her East London gallery on
Thursday night to celebrate her collaboration with Swiss jewelry brand Caspita.
Hadid and Caspita designer Arlène
Bonnant have collaborated on “Skein,” a limited edition ring and bracelet which
come in variations of white, yellow, black and rose gold, some inlaid with pavé
diamonds. Cellular structures found in nature inspired the mesh-like designs.
The Pritzker prize winner is no stranger to the fashion
world, since She’s designed runways for Chanel, shoes for Lacoste,
and was even named Woman of the
Year by Glamour Magazine
in 2012.
One of her latest foray into fashion—designing shoes in collaboration with Rem D. Koolhaas’s brand United Nude— brings her architectural style to the feet of ladies willing to shell out $2000 USD for a pair of daring, cantilevered heels.
